The TIFF format is the professional standard format for archival imaging. It saves images with complete image accuracy and includes layers. The disadvantage is storage — a single TIFF file from a DSLR can easily be 50 to 100 megabytes. When you need to upload and distribute TIFF files, changing them to JPG greatly decreases storage maintaining
